Its a saturday. Its a nice lazy saturday unsuitable for studying in preperation for the upcoming common tests. Still theres still must be some preserverence, which is why ill go back to studying after typing this entry.

Yesterday was great. The main highlight was the meeting up with good old friends from both KC and CJC. Although zouk was irritatingly crowded, at least we still managed to have fun with all of our usual banter. Ive just realised that despite much persuasion from me, sebo refused to do her miss tan accent. The main catchphrase of the day would be from the prata man. Our conversation went like this:

Me: Do you have plain prata?
Man: *stares incredulously* Noooooo. We only have prata with egg".

Now, if you think and ponder about it. They do not have plain prata but they have prata with egg. WITH EGG. Just take out the damned egg and you get plain prata! We were speculating that because since the service was so long, some previous customer who had ordered egg prata probably walked off and left, hence inclining the prata man to insist that they only have EGG prata so as to sell it off. Ahah. Cheat.

It was great to catch up with Darcy albeit it be 4am in the morning downstairs my house. All in bid for chinese new year, the funny guy came in a supermarket trolley being pushed by Glen. It was their car. Its better than any hydrogen-fueld cars available in the market now thats for sure. A level results coming out. Ha-ha.

Mom just came into my room with the NUS postcard. Theres going to be an open house around march the 10th to the 11th. Its back to reality now. Sometimes i tend to forget that in JC ive come so that i can go to the uni. Maybe thats why ive been so slack in preperation for the common tests. What really sucks is that i keep on complaining on how i do not have enough time to study when what the real issue here is that i keep on making myself busy. Every single spare bit of spare time ill use it up for random stuff. Its time to really concentrate. Private banking is calling ahaha

Finally, the two dreaded days of tests has come to pass. Although the fact that the common tests are just around the corner is not exactly the most comforting, it feels good to get these obstacles over and done with.

First and most importantly, today is the last day of one IG19 minions, YuanFeng. Hes withdrawing to go to Singapore polytechnic and i wish you all the best. A 12 pointer, Yuanfeng is sure to do his best there. I feel like im writing a report card. I remember how my secondary school teacher use to give quotes like "press on..!", which was honestly really corny.

I wish i could go for the blood donation. I wanted to donate blood but i suspect im still having a mild case of flu so its better if i dont. Haha imagine if i have some killer ibola virus or something and the poor blood reciever gets it. Blood reminds me of the colour red. Red means valentines ah yes, valentines. THANK YOU to all of those who gave the valentines day gifts. Not to discount everyone, but weixin gave a really rad one with individual pictures of everyone. How did you ever get a picture of my 'egyptian duck' walk?

After school, Kat and I went to town to just hang around for awhile. Naturally we laughed a lot. And with Kat, you would laugh a lot with her contagious laughter. She was pretending to be an islamic terrorist by wrapping her head with that blue jacket of hers in orchard road. In order to commemerate valentines day (or the end of it), we took a neoprint. Goodness, havent taken those for such a long time. We were such noobs with the machine that we even entered ourselves into some neoprint competition without ourselves knowing. Until we saw our picture displayed with the rest of the participants. I dont see the point in entering that kind of a competition though, its not as if you'll get a prize or something if you'll win it. Haha, even if you did, how the heck are they going to contact you. Ahah. Japanese machines.

After lounging around with Kat, i went off to meet weiloong and shamir for dinner. Well, their dinner. I just sat there and ate the chips they were giving out at heeren. I feel so good 'nyah-ing' about my best friend (not kel!).Oh, an raijoo edited weiloongs history topic sentence, the one on the slide of 'mistakes' was not an exact replica of it.

Chinese new year celebrations tomorrow! I cant wait for saturdays dinner at grand shanghai. I want to go terrorise my niece.

Valentines day is coming. Approximately in two days time in fact. However, thats not the foremost important event this week. What else is coming is my grandmothers one year death anniversary. Tomorrow. Although its been a year, it feels like it has only been months. Although i couldnt pay a visit to my grandmother often before, i still do miss her. I still remember the days of her cooking vinegared pork trotters for me to eat. The days where Brice and I used to laugh about tuxedo (a small dog) sleeping on my grandmothers rather tubby belly. The days where my grandmother used to talk about gong-gong and laugh (goodnaturedly) about his dreams about becoming a hongkong movie star. He could have though, when in the sixties, he was handpicked by this director to go overseas. My grandmother hid the passport though.

In any case, i think its pretty ironic that she should die the right before valentines. Both she and my grandfather were one of the most sweetest loving couples. Although they dont really celebrate valentines (being old, they already spend so much time together), i think it must have some impact on my grandfather who is, for the second time, again alone on valentines day. I would want to go visit him but im so cooped up in school. Moms going to visit him though so i guess that covers more than enough ground.

On a brighter side, i cant wait to see if one of mings 27 admirers give her something on valentines day. HAHA at least i know ive got at least one gift, from my darling katirina.:)
