Its my Dads birthday today and we're all going to vivo city to watch a movie to celebrate it. My dad was complaining that it was the utmost saddest way to celebrate his birthday but upon hearing that im paying for the movie tickets, he suddenly decided that perhaps the idea isnt too bad. HAHA. Kiam-kanna.
So, as its my dads birthday, its appropriate that i should dedicate this blog entry to him.
What i love about my dad:
1)The fact that he stays up with me on the nights i cannot sleep, despite himself being sleepy.
2)The fact that he never fails to provide a listening ear.
3)The fact that he knows how to shape my character into a more discerning one.
4)The fact that he allows me my freedom but knows when to limit it.
5)The fact that despite being one of the top students in LSE, he would stoop himself down to my level of, basically, thought unprovoking questions.
6)The fact that he never fails to make my friends at home although he wants his peace.
7)The fact that he is such a cheapskate. And yet, ensures the best possible treatment for my mom.
8)The fact that he does the most silliest antics to make me laugh. This includes the rooster dance at Suntec City.
9)The fact that he tells me who my real friends are.
10)The fact that he would help me no matter what.
My dads weirdest/humourous habits
1)In order to sleep or think about some project, he has to roll the string of his bolster into a nice neat ball.
2)He thinks hes as handsome as Bae Yong Jun. Or maybe even better
3)He refuses to switch from a size XXL to an XL complaining that itll be too tight.
4)His laughter is so jolly that it makes everyone laugh
5)The way he plays games. From gambling to monopoly, he gets really into the mood.
6)The way he refused to let ryan win monopoly so as to prove his business credibility. the poor boy was only 12.
7)The way he only eats with his right hand. Using just a mere fork or spoon, he can actually eat a whole hamburger without holding it.
8)How he cannot walk around for more than 15 minutes.
9)How he would lock himself in the room for hours and hours so as to research on any random topic that comes to his mind.
10)How he analyses why are people now fatter than before.
The stuff that i would always remember most about my dad:
1)How he cried when telling me my mom had cancer.
2)How he carried me around disneyland despite his bad back.
3)How he kept every single letter and note ive written him since i was small in his safe
4)How he told me i looked like a vampire when i wanted to go out one night.
5)How everyone likes to be around him.
6)How he used to be such a party animal. As benji told me "One day lulu was at a disco for the first time and suddenly there was this bright light and words came out saying "WELCOME MR NG ENG SOON". She freaked out". This is the man who sits at home and watches BBC all day long. Whereby dinner time is his outing.
7)How he appeared at this club once when i was clubbing.
8)How picky he is when it comes to everything. Except food.
9)How he would get angry if we didnt choose the correct food for dinner. For example, if we chose Japanese when he felt like eating Hainanese pork chop, we're in for a stormy ride. Yet, he wont tell us.
10)How very nice he is to hug.
Though i would rather die, rather give away my entire life savings, fail promos, then to explicitly say that i love my dad, its true. I know he wont read this so im safe haah.
By the way, the picture of my dad with the tissue box was taken during the a monopoly game. See the tension.

Today was a really solemn day. This is also known as Promotional results day. Yes, i do know all my results for my H2 subjects and i did pass. For my H2s its B for econs, C for history and E for lit. Its honestly much more better than i expected but i still must say that im really sad for some of my good friends. I dont want to talk more about it though, it will make me cry again.
As for being an ogl/facilitator for next years batch, im having second thoughts about it. I used to be really enthusiastic about being one but now i feel that i should really concentrate on my studies. I can imagine ill be even more of a mugger than i am now haha.
I still think its damn funny that none of the cambridge students got the highest in history. I mean theres an implied meaning that in general, the cambridge students should do the best among the students. Its definetly not true. Im glad for Goldie and Natasha, haha power man power. Jessie could have gotten one of the top too but she just missed by a bare 2 marks!
Thats pretty wasted.
Dad and i are going to try this burger place at Raffles city. Theres this restaurant set up that claims to be the best burger restaurant. Cant wait to try it haha. Finally got him his birthday present after much hunting around.
Ill go take a nap
After apologizing profusely to buns for making a comment that makes him sound gay, this conversation happened.
chark-Death by prewashed salads says:
wheres james anyway
buns/ab haze ur mum says:lying on the couch
buns/ab haze ur mum says:
heehee
Do note the 'heehee'.
Both buns and james were childhood friends and even uptil now they are still really close. They have been good friends for a long time now and even were mates during secondary school. This entry is not about buns and james but rather, KC.
That school i really miss. Even uptil now im still having withdrawal symptoms of the much-loved nasi bryani. I do not care how many times it gave me food poisoning (especially on the day we got back the O level results. Bloody hell couldnt stand when my name was called) but it would always be cherished in my heart. I was surfing around blogs just now and i chanced about sahirah (millers) blog. Her entry on how much she missed KC also proved that im not the only one whose been thinking about it. And i quote some of her memories which included "pervertic mr lau in lower sec HAHA" and "changing in class for pe without bothering bout anything". For my share of the memories, it would have to be Mr juraimy who was always the outspoken one. "What are you doing here, saunteering around corridor" was one of the first phrases he spoke to me. Honestly though, its more of the fellow classmates that left the deepest impression.
Our class did have its cliques. Our class did have its fights. Most of the time its so drama that theres no point watching TV. Our class was hilarious. I miss phyllis and melissas fights. I miss seeing may sleep. I miss seeing EVERYONE sleep during Mrs Boeys Biology class.
Ok. Ill put up some photos to make this entry as interesting as possible.
HAHA. Oh man may if you are reading this, remember it was your ingenius idea to pretend to whack my butt with the feather duster. Or were you intentional..
